Information you give us. When you book a tour or contact us, we collect the details you provide — your name, email address, phone number, party size, pickup address, tour preferences, any special requests, and the messages you send us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours (hosted on Squarespace) automatically collects limited technical information when you visit — such as your device and browser type, IP address, the pages you view, and how you arrived — through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Book, confirm, and run your tour, and coordinate your pickup and logistics;
• Communicate with you about your booking and respond to your questions;
• Send you marketing emails, if you've opted in;
• Operate, maintain, and improve our website;
• Keep records for tax, accounting, and legal purposes; and
• Protect the safety of our guests and staff and enforce our Terms.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run our tours and business:

• Booking & payments: FareHarbor, our booking provider, and its payment processor handle your reservation and payment.
• Website & analytics: Squarespace hosts our site and provides basic visitor analytics.
• Email: we use Google (Gmail / Google Workspace) to send and manage our email, including any messages you've opted in to receive.
• Legal & safety: we may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, staff, or business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for third-party advertising.

4. Payment Information

Payments are processed securely by FareHarbor and its payment processor. We never see or store your full payment card details on our own systems.

5. Cookies & Analytics

Our site uses cookies to function properly and to measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, through the cookie banner on our site. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

6. Marketing Emails

If you opt in, we may email you occasional news, offers, and updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We'll still send you essential messages about a booking you've already made.

7. Text Messages

If you give us a mobile number, we may text you about your booking — for example, to confirm pickup timing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential texts at any time.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.

9. Your Choices & Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or opt out of marketing, by emailing WindingRoadWineTours@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, and we'll honor those rights as required.

10. Children's Privacy

Our tours are intended for adults, and alcohol service requires guests to be 21 or older. Our website and services are not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to wineries, partners, and other third-party websites. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies when you visit them.

12. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed, and the current version always applies.
